rebuild progress on my 81 xj650...

    Well, got her carbs cleaned out, side covers painted, frame touched up, chrome polished... now I just need to find a good tank or take mine to someone to get it cleaned out. but here's my next issue... my seat is pretty weathered, with small cracks that haven't made it all the way through yet and to holes on the sides on the bottom. i'd like to put a different seat, but i'm not sure if there are any that may be interchangeable. i'll get some photos up soon of my progress. first time working on a bike, but proving to be a lot of fun and a good learning experience. thanks for all of your help guys. :)


    here is a picture of the bike the day before I picked it up from the PO. come a long way from then, but still got some maticulous things to take care of.
