Rebuilding my forks tomorrow any helpful hints/advice?

    I am rebuilding my forks tomorrow and.o.was wondering if anyone had any helpful hints?

    Did you read the how to?

    Do you have the tool to hold the bolt all the way inside?

    Those are the only special things I can recall from mine.

    I have read the how to multiple times, but I do not own the tool how much are they to purchase and what is the name of the tool?

    Turn a spark plug socket with a 19? mm hex outer rear end around. Stick a bunch of extensions on to it. That is one of the "custom" tools recommended for doing forks around here.

    Yup there's that. I found my socket wasn't able to put the extension on the inside. I welded a 19mm bolt to a piece of metal tube. Worked just as well.

    To make the tool I improvised and just fitted my upside down spark plug socket to one of the wood paint roller extensions and used a pipe wrench to hold it. Worked fine for me. You can see it in the below pic:
