Removing Fork Caps, 86 XJ Air-Cooled

    Has anyone removed the fork cap filler plugs on an 86 XJ air-cooled? It looks like a 5/8 inch allen wrench.

    Loosen the pinch bolt on the triple tree holding it at the top. You should be able to turn it then.
    Beware... Make sure if you have air assist that you have bled the air off. and you have some spring tension on that plug and even more if you have the wheel still mounted and sitting on the floor...

    BTW it is a metric allen. I just cant remember what size at the moment.
