    Hi all.
I know some have swapped speedos, but I have a face that needs repainting, there is nothing else for it, spares are rare and expensive here and was wondering is anyone has done it.
I can spray the low sheen black, I have marked on the back of the disk where the numbers were for reference (the disk is clear) and have cleaned al the existing paint of with turps.
How do I paint the little numbers on?
    I'm in Australia.
If someone knows someone here that can do this it would be great.

    I'm not good with freehand.

Those rub on transfers would be great if they were available in the right size, white and sun proof.

I'm fairly inventive and I will work at finding a way to do this, but if anyone knows a way that would be great

    cheers.

    J

You'll have to search for the thread, but some have had new faces made using a computer program of some kind. They used it to make white face guages, I'd imagine you could do the same thing for factory looking faces.

Have a buddy who is really good with graphics programs whip up a jpg file for you and have new vinyl decals made up by a print shop.

Vinyl would not be any good, the paint needs to be applied so that light shines through it from the rear, the disk is clear plastic.

    Success.
    Found this site.
    http://www.revlimiter.net/mods/gauges.php#templates
Downloaded the kilometres per hour version, opened it on Photoshop, converted it to Bitmap and opened it in Paint Shop Pro (know PSP back to front, Photoshop have never mastered)
Fiddled till I got it somewhat right.
Lines up well, have adjusted the size and printed of one that fits well.
Will work on making it look cleaner.

That guy doesnt seem to care too much about the accuracy of the gauges.

It's disappointing that the 72 dots per inch that the web supports stuffs up this image, it is printing out well.
