Has anyone ever replaced the control switches on the handlebars (kill switch, horn, turn signal, bright headlight, etc) with a new set from another bike? All of the number and letters are worn off on mine and the turn signal sure is NOT self cancelling. I was looking for something newer and sharper, and I doubt that there is any NOS for my model

No, just other models of Yamahas but it shouldn't be too hard. You'd just have to figure out how to match up the wires so the switches would work.

You could always get a new set of decals for your switches -- Ebay item # 110025174956
