    Hey guys,

I'm in the market for new rear shocks for an '81 xj550 maxim (preferably available in black). Does anyone have any information/suggestions for good replacements?

I was looking at the Progressive Suspension 412. But at almost 200 dollars without springs I'm hoping I can find some used in the near future since I'm trying to save as much as possible. Thanks for any info you might have to offer.

    Austin,

Strangely enough, the guy interested in the Maxim X I have for sale asked if I could get the suspension set up for him.
We talked about longer shocks and heavier springs more appropriate for his height and weight.

So I will likely have these available soon:
    Progressive 12.5 rear shocks 75 120 springs.jpeg
They are the 12.5" and have the 70/120 rate springs.
The progressive website drop down has them listed as the match for your bike.
And of course, I'd be asking a lot less than what they want for new ones too.

You could start a conversation with me if you want to go over any additional details.

    Tony
