    Hi
I recent purchased a 1982 xj750R. I'm in Australia so I think they are Secas?
Anyway it has been sitting for 20 years in a shed following the untimely demise of it's previous owner.
I am in the process of going over it to get it on the road again brake, carbies, oils, etc etc and have hit a small snag and need some advice.
It had ceased calipers (dual) which i have removed and will be ordering compete rebuild kits for. Problem is the remote master cylinder. It is a 11/16 version which i cannot find a rebuild kit for. Does anyone know of one? XJ4ever dont seem to have one.
I am thinking of deleting the remote master cylinder and going to a handle bar version, after market being readily available. This will suit me too as I am changing the square head light and instrument cluster.
I am assuming this has been done many times in bobbers and trackers.
Any thing I need to be wary of? How did people go from the output of the master cylinder to the splitter or do I need a different splitter?
Thanks ever one. I am loving the info on this forum.

XJ4ever (Chacal) does (unless stock is out, or it has been discontinued) have a rebuild kit for the 750 Seca master cylinder. Start a conversaton with him.

If you change to a standard master cylinder you'll need to shave the lever mounting ears from the switchgear, and run dual lines from the master with a double banjo.

Why not just use the 650/750 Maxim switch controls with the aftermarket MC. Then a single brake hose to an 82 750 Maxim split joint?

there's a lot of ways to do it but two longer lines tend to be cheaper than three shorter ones
