The link below will take you to a free download of Photoscape. It does just about anything you'll ever need with any image. The "editor" is what you want to use, you can load an image from a file or use "ctrl-alt-print scrn" to copy any screen shot to your clipboard or right click on your image and use "copy" to load it to your clipboard, then open the editor and load your image. I had to play with the software for a little bit to get the hang of it, but once you do it's really fast and really easy.

Once you have the image loaded in the editor that you want to resize, it's easy just click on the resize button and set the largest dimension to 90, the other will be smaller-then save it and upload it-your done. You can also correct, enhance, add text, crop, whatever you need or want to do to it. I cropped my avatar, changed it to a sepia tone, and highlighted the headlight for fun.

You could also try tinypic.com - no real edit features but will resize a pic quite quickly for posting on a board or avatar.....

I can tear a 30 year old bike to the frame that hasnt run in 11 years but I cant resize a picture for an avatar. I tried both of those things and the tiny pic deal made the picture smaller but still wont load on here so screw it I am NOT a computer guy and if I keep screwing with this thing I'm gonna put a hammer to it. I just cant pull it off

If you can post the pic your trying to resize, or give me a link to it, or I can give you my email and you can email it to me - and I will resize it for you then post it here and you can put it up.

The avatar's will only go up if they are 90 or less pixels in both height and width. The main pictures in a post can be much bigger 640 I think, and if you use photobucket or similar even bigger.

Send me a pm if you need my email. We'll get you fixed up.

Another good website I found is shrinkpictures.com - works great, very simple, just browse to the picture on your machine, specify the new maximum dimension of 90, resize it, and download back to your machine for posting.
