rewiring ? xj 750

    hey everybody rewired and put in new fuse box no problems there,but here is the issue some cut wires on bike sitting around.white with red tracer,blue back by the air box .whoever wired this rigged toggle switch for tail light and powerfrom battery to blue wire for taillight, but brake light works correct hoe do i clean this up and is there any diagrams for wiring "82" xj maxim 750 8)

    The diagrams are available on the XJCD (cheap), the Haynes (around $20), or the factory manual (NOT cheap).
    White with red tracer is probably the battery sensor based on the location you've mentioned. The blue has me stumped (although the neutral switch comes to mind). Can you get a clear photo of the wires in their environment?

    If the 750 is anything like the 1100. The white with the red trace goes to the battery sensor. It was probably bypassed using the tail light for 12v when the key is turned on. There should be a small resistor connected to that wire before going to 12v when bypassing it. Can't help with the blue wire.

    c)yellow wire tied to black wire that goes to toggle switch to turn tail light on and off and also get power to d) blue wire that goes back to tail light for power
    e)comes from batt & power to radio off batt in wind jammer
    b)is whit/red tracer doing nothing
    a)is blue/whit tracer doing nothing
    would like to get rid of toggle switch and have taillight run off key switch

    looks like splicing was done on windjammer also will take further look
