I have my bike almost restored but I need to get a right side cover so I can get the tank, F/fender and all the plastic painted at once, I have bought 2 R. side covers on eBay w/all clips in tact only to find out each was missing the tank mount, does anyone know where I can find a good one?
    Thanks, Ethan

There's a "how-to" on building up another locating "bullet" out of epoxy.
Or you could use a zip tie, and only your mechanic would know.

I had to epoxy one on my right side cover and it has held beautifully. I used J-B weld and a piece of plastic that I formed with a Dremel tool. I have had that cover on and off at least a dozen times and it is still hold just fine.

I thought of another way- - among the bodywork mounts on the Turbo 650 are some nylon "bullets" that have threaded bases and a nylon nut. These would even be adjustable, and factory Yamaha parts.
