took handle bar switch off - cleaned it up - tightened philips screw where thumb switch pivots and it started working again only to stop again the next time I used it - left OK - Right no lights flasher relay buzzes only - took apart relay looks fine - Will check all wiring this weekend but in the mean time is this something that can happen when the turn signal cancelling relay blows - it isn't working anyway ? Can I remove the cancelling unit relay if it is defective ? Questions questions questions questions lol - any advise ?

Did you check voltage at the relay with either right or left signal on? You should have 12 volts or there of at coil side of the relay. Buzzing is created from lack of voltage. I put a set of LED's on my back so I had to invest in a different relay. Let me know how it works out.

I should mention I have now had intermittent flasher problems on BOTH sides, and in both cases, it appears that it's actual bulb mount problems. One is rusted to hell inside and acting up, and has a stripped out screw holding it together that's a pain in the ass (that's front left), and the rear one I can't figure out (it's a replacement part from the PO), but when I start messing with it, the problem goes away, so it's obviously a connection in there.

The front one wasn't working for weeks, so I finally went in to look at it with a friend, and when we were trying to figure out how to get the screw out, pressing hard on the screw and such, it just started working. Taped it up and called it a day, will get back to it later... Buddy didn't have the gumption to continue, best not to work when impatient.

Anyways, check that if your relay looks fine, relays are pretty hardy little components.

I'd say you still have a ground issue on the right side. I'd start with making a ground wire that can go from the signal to the negative post of the battery, as a temporary test, not a permanent solution. Use the wire to test the ground on both front and rear right side lights. This will eliminate a ground issue, then you can start looking at the hot wires and the relay.

UPDATE - just removed switch assy from handle bar - tightened screws and started working then stopped again - started to take apart but just too cold to work on properly tonight 0C/32F - seems to be related will continue during the day when warmer - dirty contacts, solder connections or broken wire under insulation will be my focus - tank removal to check all wiring will be the next step if all else seems ok
