I have searched past posts on how to get the front turn signals to work as running lights. I figure I will need a socket for a 1157 bulb but I could not figure out the wiring. Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,

Not sure about your bike, if the wiring harness is the same or not...

On my bike, there were already running light connectors in the headlight housing, they just weren't used. All I had to do was replace the 1156 bulb pigtail in the existing socket with a pigtail for an 1157, then wire the running light filament up to those existing bullet connectors.

    Done - front running lights.

If those connectors aren't there for you, you'll just have to find a switched power source to connect the running light circuit to -- headlight would work.

Why would you want to do that; greater visibility? It does sound interesting; I'll have to check the wiring harness on my bike. Are you doing the rear turn signals as well?

Greater visibility is the primary reason I did it - I also added a set of low-power driving light to my engine guards to improve visibility to others even more.

You have to be careful about doing the rears - most people don't. Mostly because of your local laws -- many places make having rear-facing running lights MUST be red, and red ONLY. As our turn signals are yellow, this causes more of a headache than it's worth.

I just wanted better visibility at night. Altus if I hook up one set of lighs (filament) to headlight curcuit won't it stay on when I signal for a turn and won't be able to see the flashing light?(other filament)

That is true - however, as you're hooking up the lower power filament of the two in an 1157 bulb, it's no big deal. When you turn on the flasher, that filament is so much brighter than the running light, the fact that it's not TOTALLY off when blinking doesn't seem to be a big problem... on my bike at least.

I will give this a try in the near future. Thanks for all the help.

Exactly what the 1157 bulb is designed for. Turn/running or brake/running. Used to be the standard configuration in almost every North American car and light truck.
