Hello everyone. Today I took my Xj750 for its first ride on the street. I have never been on a bike with so much power. When I got back I pulled one of the plugs and its looks like it was never run. Looks brand new? And the bike it very, very HOT. The bike has dynojet stage3, POD air filters and a MAC 4-1 with no baffel..I tried turning the Mixture screw from 3 turns to 4 out...I also, lowered the needle two slots from the Dynojet stage3 instructions. But now it’s worse!? I’m afraid im going to hurt my bike if I keep riding like this  ..Dose anyone know what I can do to fix this?
    Thanks for any help..........Josh

    Raise the Needle ...

Lowering the Needle bring-up LESS Fuel.

    Check the Jetting.
You want some Phat Jets spraying some big-time fuel around if you plan on running the bike like that.

    Here's the BAD NEWS ...

You run Lean ... you might scrap the Engine.
    Burned Valves
    Rings
Weld a hole right through the top of a Piston Crown.
Which will send a Rod Flying if the Bike don't don't come to a screeching
    halt.

The sole sources for gas to make the Bike go ..
    Main Jet
    Pilot Jet.

Main Jet size and Position of the Needle on the Diaphragm Piston
Raised .. UP .. Allows more Fuel to enter the Combustion Chamber.

    Pilot Jet.
Idle and contributing supply to augment the Main Fuel Jet.

You got a mess of Tweaking to do.
Look at the Plug you took out.

If there are overheat stress fractures beginning to show (Magnifying glass) on the Ceramic electrode tip ...

Put the bike on the work stand ...
    Begin the process.

Alright thanks, I will try Raising the Needle tomorrow..Im running a 136 main jet right now, were do I get a bigger one? Also, do you really think I messed my bike up bad? Should I be looking for a new bike? I only drove it maybe 20 mins..(But I really beat the hell out of it) I pad $500 for the bike and put around 1200 into it. I hope it’s alright

Performance Mods and Cosmetic Mods affecting Carb Air~Fuel Ratios is something I have not delved into. I can't make any recommendation to you, because I don't know how much the Air Ratio changed.

There are some Sharp guy's in here that have done every Mod you can think of. When they pick-up what's going on, here ... you'll have lots of stuff to try.
