Here is a problem I can't seem to figure out on my own...

Lately I will be cruising at highway speeds (appx. 5000 rpm in fifth) and I will get cycles of the bike being very smooth and then rough (slight vibration). Pretty sure it is coming from the motor almost as if the carbs are perfectly synched and then go out of sych for 30 sec- 1 min intervals. I can even tell a slight power loss when the bikes is in its rough interval.

    Any comments?

Plug wires, plug caps or throttle shaft seals.

You might check that the vent in the gas cap is clear.
