I got this bike about 2 months ago and it had been sitting for a long time, i pulled the carbs and proceeded to clean them I didn't separate them but i pulled the tops and bottoms off each along with the jets and valves. I cleaned the tank with chem dip along with rebuilding the petcock. Does anyone have any suggestions for this problem. I've searched through the forums to find similar issues but no avail. Please, I could use some wisdom. Thanks

That the bike will run with the Enrichment Circuit open and NOT without Enrichment means that there is a serious problem with Jets and Fuel~Air Passages.

Did you spray through each Jet when the Carbs were Cleaned?
Did you remove the Center Emulsion Tube and Clean the multiple Air Metering Ports all around the Emulsion Tubes?

Did you take-out the Pilot Mixture Screws and flush-out the Fuel and Air Passage needing to be clean and free-flowing to bring Fuel to the top-side of the Carbs?

See what happens when you spraay Starting Fluid into the the Intake of the Airbox.
Try letting some Propane Gas from an unlighted Propane Torch fill the Airbox Intake. too.

If the bike wants to run after completing those two tests ... you will have to revisit the Carbs and insurue that the Jets and passages are thoroughly cleaned and will allow fuel to flow through them.

Same issue I had when I started on my bike after 18 yrs of storage. It is starving for fuel. Hit it with starter fluid but we know it runs. Shove a rag into the airbox and see if it starts. It will help draw in more fuel. I bet you it's definitely the main jets and pilot jets. I tend to over simplify things. Fuel, air, or fire. One is missing.

I think this was covered in the chat forum. Good luck.
