Has anyone ridden a madass? There has been one at the yamarobber by my house for something like 6mo and I think they just want rid of the thing so I may be able to get it at cost (whatever that is) I was thinking it would be an interesting way to finally get my wife on something with two wheels since whe said she may ride something with a small engine but she refuses to start on anything over 100cc's. Plus after thats done I was thinking a chinese 125cc engine and some dual sport tires. Lose the fenders and that thing could truly be Badass!

    Any thoughts?

Hit the site, neat little putter, looks very schick. Minimalist and raw. Not bad. Any idea if there is a stateside distributor?

I think it is being put together by a company called ?timberland? over here. I talked it over with my wife and am getting a 4x4 instead of another bike (I probably wasn't going to get the madass anyways it just looked like fun)

There's a video of it getting a test drive on Google video. I don't know why anyone would want a 49cc bike that only goes 30MPH that you couldn't take out onto the highway though. It looks cool but costs a lot compared with a used XJ. Maybe it's good for running to the store or around campus but it's very tall for a little bike with a 34" seat height so it might not be good for women with short legs.

Artistic, would you be able to pass on any information you have on this "Timberland" company you might have. I've been looking for the manufacture of my bicycle (also Timberland) and Google has been useless. Hope they are the right company.
