I have saddlebags and trunk and fairing. I have been trying to find more info myself. There doesn't seem to be any info on it.

I'm still working on these to fit right but, with a little imagination
and rigging you can get most any bag to work right.

I have the Moto Classic saddlebags from Amazon. The same ones you can find at Walmart.com. About 60 bux. Seem to be the low cost ones you can find anywhere online, but I like them. They are basic backpack material with velcro straps and plastic buckle attachments. The setup recommends placing them over the back seat, but I attached them under the seat so they hang a little lower and let me have my bungy net on the back seat still. I am trying to attach the most recent pic of my bike that shows them in action, but it won't take so I'll do it on a later post.

I got these at Cycle Gear for $50. They seem to fit and work well.

Has anyone looked into relocating the rear turn signals to make room for larger bags? I've been considering modifying my break light, adding the led turn signals to the side and getting the led break light\turn signal license plate holder for extra visual.

HMM, I thought I posted to this thread yesterday but it's not here today...
Anyway I had written about some leather throw-over saddlebags I bought from a dude on CL.
I assumed I could put the seat over them but no! The big strap would have to be cut up for the seat latches to work and the blinkers would have to be moved rearward. I figured I could use a pc of flat bar steel about 1" by 5", with a hole drilled in each end, and bolt it to the existing blinker mounting tab. The steel bar would be mounted horizontally with the blinker re-mounted toward the rear of the bike. (Note that the blinker mounting bolt is hollow and the wires run right through it so you'll have to disconnect & reconnect the wire if you plan to do this.)
But for now the bags are just sitting in my garage and if I need them I'll just throw them over. It works fine but I don't like them laying over the queen part of my seat.
I'll try to post a pic a bit later after work.

I ordered these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RN4FK6 yesterday. They should arrive today, so I'll see how they fit tonight! The are the Motogear Motorcycle Saddle Bags got them on amazon for 49.99 and free second day shipping because I am a 'prime' member. They could be the same ones that MoralDK has.

    re: maximumX

That pic gives additional meaning to the phrase 'carry-on luggage'.

doc2029, those aren't the same as mine...they're better. Mine (from Bilt) don't have foam panels. These foam panels could provide insulation for hauling cold/hot drinks or food. Also, the straps for mine are attached at the top edge of the bags. It looks like yours attach a few inches below the top of the bags. So, if you strap under the seat, the bags should ride higher. I'd like that. I may order those.

Cool, that is my plan to run the straps under the seat. I'll take a few pics tonight and figure out how to post them here.

Yeah I still need to do some adjusting. I'll actually upload pics tonight. I think though the straps running under the seat are going to be a bit of a pain. Because of the spacing of the straps and the seat latch, it was tricky getting the seat on and locked in.

Thanks for the pics Doc, any chance you could take some a little farther back? I'd kinda like to see what they look like overall with the bike. Other then that, what's your overall opinion on them? May try and buy them this weekend.

I like them they look good on the XJ. They hold a fair amount of stuff and this far just lugging my laptop for work, rain gear and lunch, they work great. I put some books in them on the test ride and it worked quite well. It is a bit hard to get the seat back on but it can be done. I ran one of the straps under the frame, and one behind the grab bar behind the tail light.

The directions are not clear but there are two grey pieces that fit inside of the bags they velcro in and are what gives the bag their ability to hold their shape. Honestly I don't think you can do better for the price.
