scratched up winshield

    Is there anyway to salvage a scratched up winshield? Wiped out on the pavement and it got some deep to small scratches on it, any ideas?Already prepared to replace it just hate to spend the money.....

    I heard that novus scratch remover is supposed to be good. I can't say first hand, I'm waiting for mine to arrive so that I can try it on my windshield.

    You can find it at Amazon, probably other places as well.

    depends how scratched it is. Deep scratches-trash it. You might be able to sand them out with wet sandpaper. Work from 400 to 600 progress to 1500 or 2000 grit, then polish with an electric buffer and polishing compound. I have done this on winshields and headlights with grat sucess.

    Any auto parts store sells headlight rejuvination kits.
    They are basically to take the yellow haze and imperfections out of the one piece clear plastic lenses.
    It comes with several grades of sand paper, polish, buffing heads.
    They run $10-15 dollars.
    If it doesn't work use it on your car.
