Screws in carb hats

    There is 4 screws in the hats above the diaphragm....anyone know what size they are if I wanna replace them

    i'm thinking M4 X .7 about 10 mm long

    Take screw to Ace Hardware..They have a large selection of stainless metric screws .... Replaced all mine this way , took carb body and screws till I found correct length and diameter.

    Get them from Len...... He'll set you up with the correct various lengths, and confirm for you which ones get washers, etc.... They are NOT all the same.

    What Dave says, there are a couple (IIRC) that are slightly different and you may think that they are tightened down but are actually bottoming out. Plus allen heads are easier to work with and don't often strip out.

    +1. I went to the local ACE and the screw kits for the hats are on my list for next order with Len. He has it figured out. Want to know why the screws on one master cylinder cover are .37 mm shorter than another? His catalog will tell you why.
