    i'm pretty sure the one in your pic is the rear end of a gas tank

    the best one i've seen is the thruxton cap on the xj650 seat

    basically home made is the way to do it as far as i know. little old fashioned ingenuity and fabrication. also, check out hotwingglass.com. fiberglass seat pans, one of which has a pretty cool cafe vibe to it.
