just picked this one up today...

    1982
    750cc
    17,300 miles

    around $1200...

its got a few little dings on the tank that can be sanded out and shot with a spray bomb (or left) until i can get it painted. im not a fan of gray NOR do i like the billboard nameplates...

the mud on the rear is from the sellers yard. he had it in his shed and had to move it thru the soggy yard...

the seat developed a split and the previous previous owner put down a naughahyde cover that needs a little bit of contact cement around the edges...

im keeping my 550 for local jaunts and for my marine buddy who rode one back in the 80s but now cant afford to get another of his own...

yes i ran it up and down the street a couple of times :D already...

Hey, congrats on the new arrival! The 750 is a joy to ride. I also agree with you on the decals... Myself, I'm going to apply the tuning fork logos under the clearcoat on both my 550 and the 750, when I finally get the tanks painted.

this is the tank off my 550. it didnt come with any nameplates (THANK God!) but it had been bondoed where it was dented and so i refinished it with whatever paint GM uses (for the whitest whites)...

a friend of mine painted the logo on it. he had difficulties with the compound curves of the tank and wasnt happy with the back side of the circle so he put flames on it...

alas the box it sat on last summer while working on the bike collapsed and it got dented AGAIN!

oh well, its back to the sander. im going to a bike thing this summer so maybe i can find a custom shop or painter (id have to be blind to not see any there!) who would like to paint it for me...

    Nice 750 there Ltdave !

I like the white on that tank as well. Was thinking if I was going to repaint the turbo back to the original white or break away for something different.

    too many bikes are black...

some of the custom bobbers posted here look good in black (along with some of the new factory bikes) but when i started riding i was more about being seen than looking 'bad'. white is more visible than any other color with maybe the neons being the exception but the maxims dont lend themselves to neon in my opinion...

the seca will get a new paint job probably over the next winter unless i can find something i like RIGHT NOW and can find someone to do it CHEAP...

problem is you have Good, Fast and Cheap. pick two. it wont be the third...

Yep, I been watching PainterD's tanks and I think I'm gonna make me a makeshift booth in the Garage and give it a shot. There was no way it was gonna be black or gray/silver, so it's been a toss up between the white, red and a blue.

You lived up near Port Huron didn't you ?

I owned a 83 750 Seca back in the early 90s until someone hit me from behind while I was at a yield sign, I wasn't hurt but my bike was spent. It was my last street bike. I loved that bike and am finally looking at getting another one. Nothing compares to the performance, comfort and design of the seca of that era. Anyway, I'm just checking to see what's on the internet about them, and thinking of getting another. i new there would be an owners group or something since anyone who has owned one, or ridden one know its not just any old bike. I'm in east Texas....hello everyone....

Wow, that one brings back some memories. That looks identical to my Seca the day I rode it home. Your going to enjoy it for sure. I rode mine for about 1 season that way, then added a fairing on it, sheich made for a much better ride.
Then I decided I needed to get ride of all the extras and make it my own. so it looks a little different now!

Does anyone know of anywhere online, or anyone, that has seca's for sale. I've got a frequent flyer ticket i've got to use and a flight with a bike ride home would be killer....rg
