My headlight isn't working right now. I'm in the process of replacing my fuse block. Even when I bypass the fuse block and jump the circuit, I'm not getting headlight. Any thoughts on common places to expect troubles?

    1. Check Bulb.

    2. Check everything else.

You are in the Middle of a Fuse Box Swap. Maybe the Bulb just let-go.
If not the Bulb ... look for 12 Volts on the Low Beam wire working back from the Light Bulb Plug-in.

You can save a lot of time testing the Circuit by buying an Automotive Test Light that "Lights and Beeps". Getting the tone keeps you moving rather than needing to see the thing light up.

Oil Stone the Point of the Test Light "Needle-sharp"
Use a strip of a Man's Leather Belt taped to tip of your Index Finger to keep from getting stabbed by the Test Light!

I've got a test meter and planned on tracing wires. I'll double check the bulbs because neither light is working. Is there a headlight relay somewhere?

    Thanks

The headlight relay trips "on" when you start the engine, so if you are just testing everything with the key "on" and never start it, you'll never get the headlight to turn on. The relay is under the tank, ( I think?)

And since we're on this subject, does my Seca 900 have this relay, because my headlight is "on with the key".
Do these things fail in the closed position?

That would be part of the problem then. I've got the bike torn down for paint, and I'm tracing through some electrical gremlins. For the record, does anyone know the specific location of the headlight relay. Looks like the furthest back and left relay is the ignition relay. I've got a copy of an electrical diagram, but it doesn't give relay locations.

I hooked up a squirt bottle full of gas and started the bike up. Sure enough, the headlight comes on when the engine is running.

The 900's are wired to have the HeadLamp get turned off while the Start Button is depressed and the Engine not yet Started.

Once it fires-up the Headlight stays on.

My Headlight blew-out, one night ... right as I was entering a Highway On-ramp with a Left and a Right sweeping turns.
    I thought I was a goner!
No headlight and all the unused voltage raised the Instrument Panel Brightness right off the chart!

    I was riding blind.

Upon further review, my 900 headlight does turn off with the starter.
It amazes me that they would have a different set-up than the 750.
