It's not the just the 900s, there must have been a reason; yes they can still be got as can virtually every part you'll ever need, from XJ4Ever (logo/link in site banner, upper right) and if there are supposed to be both of them there (check the fiche) then yes you need both of them.

    A good fiche: http://www.yamahapartshouse.net/pages/O ... ibrand=YAM

I use this Truloc Gasket Eliminator

Don't know if you can get it over the Pond, but there must be an equivalent.

I keep the old o ring in place, clean up the carb boot and head mating surface and that's it. Heat and chemical resistant.

The 900 Intake Manifold Gaskets are one of the very simplest Gaskets to make.

Trace the Manifold on a Sheet of Gasket Making Material.
Scissors and an X-Acto Knife will trim-away what needs to go.
A "Single-hole" Paper-punch will make nice Stud Openings.

If you have successfully removed the Manifolds; replace the Fasteners with Hardened or Stainless Cap Screws AFTER treating the Threaded Holes with Anti-Seize Compound.

If you have NOT removed the Manifolds, as yet ... BEWARE!
The Fasteners are prone to seizure and breaking during removal..
