Seca Carbs

    Picked up a set of spare carbs for my 81 XJ750. They are in better shape than my current carbs but there's a lot of extra hoses. What are all these hoses for?

    ??? I'm guessing the three on top are atmospheric bowl vents but I just guessing here. Never seen that setup before. What application did you get these off of?

    I've seen that setup on Keihins on various Hondas. They are, indeed, bowl vents to atmospheric. Some folks leave the hoses off with no harm done, the biggest threat is insects getting into your float bowls, spiders especially. I'd recommend clear vent hoses exiting under the bike. Just make sure they can't be pinched off.

    What is the lower hose for? The one above the idle screw.

    Looks like the fuel rail. My guess - gasoline.

    I would wonder what is the top one between 1 and 2.
    I now notice (thanks guys) the lower hose is on plane with the fuel supply tubes. That is usually fed between 1 and 2 on my older machines.
