Ok, i might just be looking at different model secas but..

HOW many speedo's are there ?

My bike came with a metric + mph. it goes to 220 KMPH.

funny, when i bought the bike the guy had replaced it from fleabay..
and said it was not working right.. 65 mph was indicating 90..

after i got home i saw that even tho MPH is in the top center,
its really the secondary speed ;p so he got a metric vs mph.[/align]

    Anyway..

I have seem 100MPH, 140KMPH also.... just wondering how many speedo's they put out.

also anyone refinished their speedo face ?

Given that there are only the two measurement systems used in the manufacture of vehicles these days (thank God Whitworth went the way of the wind, wonderful no?) you have either the MPH or KPH, take your pick. I would be greatly interested to know if anyone has refinished their faces, I expect it would be a bear of a task!

on all japanese bikes it should not matter, the gear unit registers 2245 = 60mph.

If anything is wrong its the gear unit to tire/wheel size.

No, i mean i have seen pics with MPH only, KMPH only.. and different scales (ie 100MPH max, 140MPH max)..

They may all use the same gearing scale, but different faces/max indicated speeds.

So you could swap any of them out and get ACCURATE readings, but different dials..

and in my case its accurate, just i have to look a bit to read the itty bitty numbers 8O

Here's a closeup of my speedometer.
Note the white numbers are in KPH and the yellow numbers are in MPH.

65 MPH is about 104 KPH, so I would guess that you have a primary metric speedometer, that's reading a bit off.

Good god Man, how do you survive with a restricted speedo. Luckily down here we wouldn't even know what an 85mph speedo is. All ours are in kph and an XJ speedo always has a +200 speedo. 8)
