So I'm assuming the front and rear rim from a 650 seca turbo will be a direct swap onto a 650 seca.

    Like imagine...

Front wheel- I pull the front axle out, and pull the rim forward...spacer falling to the ground with the speedo drive...do I pick them up?

Rear wheel- I remove the axle and the brake cover plate falls to the ground along with the axle spacer...Do I pick them up?

    Thanks in advance.

    Reason I'm looking into this:

Um, who makes that bracket? Turbo Secas are notorious for weak brakes, and the rebuild kits are expensive...so you've got me interested.

Just make sure you get the BIG rotors before you make the bracket and the proper master cylinder or it wont work well at all.

What rims are those? You have the seca 550 race bike, right?

Looks like Kawi EX500 rims to me.

Yes the Turbo rims will swap. I used a Yami 550 Vision 18" front wheel on my SECA Turbo. Looked a lot better than the 19" until I got a set of Seca 900 rims. The reason I went with the 900 rims? Better contact patch! The 900 rims are 2.75" wide where the Turbo and Vision rims are 2.15" wide. I know at top speed with Turbo 19" in place was very shaky, the 18" Vision wheel was far better and the 18x2.75 900 wheels were better still.

I bought a Yami FJ600 rim recently, looks identical to the Seca 900, but it is a 16"x3" rim. I'm concerned about steering geometry, but the handling of the FJ600 was pretty awesome back in the day. Everyone that has done the R6 front end swap seem to be doing well with the steering geometry on that setup.

So the FJ600 16" front and SECA 900 rear wheel may be a viable swap along with the R1/R6 brake swap. Any ideas of other swaps would be great.
