Hey someone put forth the idea of putting a 18 inch seca wheel on a maxim to lower rpm's I think its a good idea, you only need one extra inch at the front of the swing arm. If there isnt enough clearance can you put a seca 750 swing arm on a maxim 750?? hmmmmm

I just looked up the swingarms and theyr the same, you can put an 18 inch 18 seca rear wheel on a 1982 maxim 750 lowing rpm and giving more top end speed, there is a way to do it to a small extent, thanks guys !! IM excited !!!

I've done just the opposite. I have both the 18" and the 16" wheels for my bobber. I can switkch them in about 10 minutes.
I ride it mostly with the 16" wheel on it because it lowers the bike and looks better with the 130 tire on it. On long hauls, I swap it for the 18" wheel/tire setup to get better mileage and lowers the RPMs a little.

Just took a nice ride over the holliday weekend and the 18 inch makes a nice differance. 65mph @ about 4800 rpm
