I have decided i would like (at some point when my $$ let me) get a windscreen to take the wind/truck wake off the torso...

I have an 82 XJ750RJ Seca and have seen only a few fairings that fit the square headlight bikes.

I like the ones that came on the Turbo's, but were there others ?

Pic example of another i found

    optional gear ?

Anyone else with a seca have a slick looking windscreen ?

Google: EagleScreens of Australia. I got a terrific deal on a screen I needed for my Seca900. Light smoke, wind-lip and a perfect fit!

Yamaha wanted almost 3-bills for a new one.

EagleScreens sent me one of their finest custom windshields for 80-bucks -- delivered!!!

    I'll check them out !

Someone more wise about Seca's correct me, but..

From googling for images it almost looks like regular seca 1's didnt have a windscreen/half fairing, but 750D's and Turbos did ?

anyone fitted a turbo or D (fuel injected jap model) parts ? I would "assume" it would work..

Rifle makes fairings that fit the rectangular headlights. Basically it's a universal fairing but you specify which headlight insert for them to put in.

They go for $200 - $400, but used ones show up on e-bay from time to time.

This link should take you to the page with three fairings that fit your bike.

When money allows, I'd like to get the "Sport" model they have for my little Seca. Help with the wind blast and hopefully the aero -- better MPG.

    Regards,
    Herb

I decided the bug in teeth thing did not work for me commuting to work through the marshes of NJ. Many a bug has met its maker on the faring and not my shirt or face.

I was able to dig up a vetter quicksilver sport faring over 15 years ago and modified the mounting brackets using stainless muffler clamps and an old innertube cut to protect the frame on my XJ650. I angled the faring so I could see over the top of the windshield and the wind broke just over the top of my helmet. I really liked the extra two pockets to store gloves and tools. Had to remove the stock headlight and replaced it with the one built into the faring. I replaced the headlight with the brightest one they make and at night it really lights up the road on high beam.

The faring is a bit dated now but a little engineering and a referbed used fairing or windscreen may work if you can't find one new. You can see my pics under my profile.
