    Hey all.

So i purchased a 93 virago 535 v-twin shaft driven bike. I am wondering if anyone knows about the secondary drive unit. Does it need to be lubed with gear oil or does the engine oil do that? I have been combing over my manual and can only find instructions on lubing the final drive.

    Any advice would be great!

    Thanks

The final drive usually takes 80w/90 gear oil, maybe only about 300ml.
And i usually coat both the splines of the drive shaft and the wheel with moly sulphide grease.

Not sure what you mean by secondary drive....

Final drive uses gear lube. Engine, transmission and middle gear are lubed by the engine oil.
