So my exhaust header is loose and shaking .. first i thought it was due to the stud screw missing on one side , but upon further examination it looks to be loose from the botton where the headers connect.. I made sure the clamp is tight and still get no results...

Im wondering if there is a clamp of some sort , or wire that can with stand hot temeratures so I can clamp it or tie it to my frame to stop the rattle .

    Thanks for the help

It would help if we knew what bike and whether it's a stock exhaust or not.

If it's the stock exhaust and the pipe is rattling even though the clamp is tight, you probably need a new gasket at that junction.

Wiring it to the frame isn't a good idea, as the motor can move slightly in relation to the frame (on most XJs.)

So your headers clamp into the pipes just below the front of the motor?

If that's where it's loose, and the clamp is tight, then you probably need a new gasket at that junction like I said. It's not unheard of, I've had it happen on the 550s before (the gasket being pounded to the point of letting the pipe be loose when the clamp is tight.)
