selling my maxim

    It is a xj650 with a 750 swap. runs and rides nice. just went through carbs. seca rear shocks with adjustable dampening. newly recovered seat. new clutch cable. starts every time. pics here: http://eugene.craigslist.org/mcy/155954708.html

    Nice ride. How did you get the tachometer to work with the swap? The 650 had a mechanical and the Seca's was electrical. I'm curious, as I want to do the same thing to mine in time.

    well I hooked the signal wire from the tach to one of the wres coming from the coil on the left side. the I connect the other wire to the ground coming from the neutral light( per the wiring diagrams from the 750) I just wired it exactly the same as the 750
