    Hello all,
My shift pedal has begun sticking in the up position occasionally when I shift. I have to tap it down with my toe in order to be able to shift to the next gear. It happens at random times and not always in the same gear. Anyone else have this happen to them?

The most likely cause is the Shift Lever Spring has broken or come loose.

    It's common.

You have to pull the Shift Cover to look.
    So, ...
You use the opportunity to replace that Spring, ... anyway.
    Plus:
    Replace the Shift Shaft Seal.

At the front of the Shift Cover is a Small Shield to keep the Pickup Coil Wire from chaffing and entanglement.

DO NOT PINCH the Ignition Pickups Lead Wire when reinstalling the Cover.

Since you offer absolutely NO information about your bike.
    Here is a generic link.
