I am still having a hard time getting my bike started so i rechecked my valves and came up with this.
    Intake.
    #1. 08.
    Y265. Y270?

    Exhaust
    #1. .15
    Y270. Y275?

    Intake
    #2 .18. .
    Y270. Y265?

    Exhaust
    #2 .18
    Y270

    Intake
    #3. .18.
    Y275. Y270?

    Exhaust
    #3. .20
    Y265

    Intake
    #4. .20. .
    Y275. Y270 ?

    Exhaust
    #4 .30
    Y260. Y275?

Im guessing this is why im having a hard time getting it started. I checked them a long time ago and thought i had done them right. Can someone help me with the shim sizes i dont want to mess up again. I put what i think is the right size next each one

WHen the clearance is too tight , like with intake #1, you need a thinner shim , not a thicker one. Assuming the first number you wrote is the thickness of the installed shim, for intake #1 then the installed shim is 265, so you'd need a 260. Same thinking for exhaust #1 , you need a 265, not a 275.

Intake #2, too loose, you nned a thicker shim = 275
Intakes #3 and #4, you need a 280 for both

Exhaust #4, way too loose, you need a thicker shim = 270

I plan to switch all my shims around but I don't have the 280s yet will it hurt anything if I leave them open until I get them? im not running the bike it is just sitting

do not turn the cams with shims removed . I have some temp plastic shims I purchased so I could remove real shims and replace them later

I'm not sure but I think member Hogfiddles cut his own temporary shims, but I can't remember what material he uses.
