Just wondering what everyone has for a tach/speedo setup. About to replace the Atari and am looking for some different ideas. Mostly looking for an easy swap that looks more updated. Pictures encouraged! Thanks guys.

Damn Rick, that would be even better! Price is right. How tough would that be to rig up?

The cluster Rick linked to is a knockoff of a gauge made by Koso. I'd get the Koso version; it will cost more, but it's being used as OEM gauges for several motorcycles and scooters (The Brammo Empulse comes to mind), so the quality is there.

Thanks K-moe, are they difficult to install? I'm seriously considering making this the "winter" project. Don't mean to threadjack OP, but this is some useful info :)

Here is my minimalist set up. Catzeye bicycle speed o/clock/trip. Calibrated to tire circumference.

That I do not know. I'm sure that you will be doing some wiring to get all of the warning lights to work. KOSO has a reputation of providing good customer support, and the installs I have read about all seem to have gone well.

Haha, no, but CAT5 would have worked.. it's just shrink wrap.. not blue anymore.

Broberg I am digging that setup! How hard was the install? I know you said no wires. Did you have to do anything to the original wiring to bypass not having the OEM gauges? Any info is greatly appreciated!!!

The install was pretty easy, needed to run some new electrical wires (like a direct feed to the battery, one to the prox.sensor and one to the ignition coil) But other then that I just used the the stock connectors to get power to the LEDs and ignition signal to the gauges. (The LED's also got some resistors so they wouldn't burn up).

I plugged the speedo and tacho cable/wire holes with fittings from the cables and a rubber seal.

I just added a 2.5" mini tach and speedo. Not sure I like the gap, so I'll be fabricating an aluminum bracket. Also have better mounting hardware. Both units are cable driven. Two diodes added to the signal wires so they both illuminate the single bulb.

The headlight is a 7.5" swap meet find (brackets are universal clamp-on).

    And relocated ignition:
