as you all know, xj shaft bikes are limited in tire width and mods to the driveshaft. has anyone tried a shaft to chain o. i sae a unit off an xs1100 that converted a chain to shaft (why yamaha did that, ill never know)
any feedback will be greatlt appriciated. also any info on modding my shaft drive. if i can not do a chain swap, i will need to mad the shaft atleast 8"

ok, i was given some info that was not correct. i guess the chain to shaft from an xs is wrong. it is actually the mid drive unit. anyone think this can be flipped and used as a chain adapter?

that take a unreasonable amount of time and skill to design. There are members who have lengthened their driveshaft for custom projects to stretch the bike.

I kind of prefer the drive shaft over the chain actually. Ive never experienced any problems with the drive shaft.

    What bike are you riding?
There is someone on the XS11.com website that makes chain drive conversions for the XJ/XS1100. You can go either route all you need is time and money.
