    New owner of a barn find 1982 750 maxim.
    Question : What happened to all the right side covers?? I see the left side covers all over ebay.... Can a cover from another bike be made to work?

    The right side covers tend to get lost, or the tabs broken off, since that side is regularly removed to access the battery. Unfortunately there is no other cover that fits. Fortunately we have a classifieds section here, and a want-ad will likely find you at least one person that has a spare to sell.

    82 and 83 are same fit side covers

    I like to think all right sidecovers are sitting in a pile on the side of the road someplace and I will find them someday.
    mostly lost or stepped on when replacing battery
    or in the case of my XJ650RJ thrown away by someones wife 2 weeks before I purchased the bike
