I had a couple painted. I've been looking for a clean original paint tank for awhile now. That's an impossible find.

I had a strap break inside my enclosed trailer last year when I was moving. The 81 GPz550 that I was moving with the Seca, leaned over and beat the snot out of my beautiful tank. It had such a sweet patina.

What a bummer to open up the trailer to see the GPz handlebar end was being used as a hammer for 1000 miles.

I found someone who gave me a killer deal on repairing the dents and painting the tanks. The paint is going to be the original pearl white. I also have some Reproduction Decals on the way for the 81 Seca 550.

All the tanks were clean inside. They had a few minor dents and dings, but most importantly, they were all rust free. One had a horrible rattlecan paint job.

The painter sent me some pics last week. This is how you prep!

I should have it back this weekend. The painter said the pearl is on and it looks fantastic! I'm just waiting on the decals to arrive.

    I'll have more pics soon.

Just got home with it. I had all this stuff packed in blankets in the cab of my pickup.

I had an 82 fender painted. I like the look without the chrome. I'm thinking about adding an RD400 Daytona Special stripe to it. I also had one of the fairings reflector holes filled.

It's hard to see the pearl in the pics. It looks fantastic! I can't wait to get my Seca running!

He did a real noce job, The pearl white looks good in the pics. It probably looks better in person. Can't wait to see the finished bike. Are you building more then one or are the extra tins for "just in case"?

    Thanks! :)

I've got a couple Secas. One set will go in a box. One of the tanks will get boxed, also. You never know when you may need it.
