sissybar/backrest

    hey everybody!
    wife wants to ride with me but is requesting a backrest.
    i seen the on other bikes in this forum so i am begging for help!
    if any body got a backrest that would be suitable for touring
    pic incuded showing what i have now and a idea of what fits

    its a canadian 1983 1100 maxim ..earlier years and smaller bikes will still fit if they already have this type of grab bar..
    thx again ..this is always the formost place for xj owners and i know i won't be dissapointed

    What I did was have my son in law cut 2 pieces of square pipe
    and made extensions for the the grab bar on back.
    Now I am going to either buy a pad or make a pad to fit it.
    It looks lika a stock piece because you will still have your
    grab bar that says Yamaha on it.

    check the pics in my galery, the XJ110 has a trunk and a custom rack to hold it. Works nice for long trips, I don't know what it came from it came with the bike. The old rack was a nasty POS , I had to make a new one.
