So I know this info exists somewhere as I have found it before but I am on a time crunch and am hoping someone might know it by heart or know exactly where to find it.

On the Hitachi carbs on the '82 XJ750 Maxim there is a drain fitting on the bottom of the bowls that you can put a hose on. What size of hose do you need to fit that?

Lengthy explanation (stop here if you don't care)
I actually had this hose already to adjust float heights and everything. I had a kit in the trunk of my car with all these motorcycle specific tools in case my wife had to come and get me if the motorcycle gave me grief somewhere. That car was stolen. Ugh. Now I NEED the motorcycle running and I need to put new gas in it but my stupid condo association doesn't allow any fluid transfer stuff so I need to do this quick and without any mess and a good fitting hose on those float bowls is exactly what I need.

    1/4" ID will work fine.

You're the best Chacal. You might hear from me again in the future now that all my spare parts are gone!
