Hey, I just got the bike out and went for a ride. When I start out in 1st or second gear it is really sluggish with the RPM are low...almost choking feeling, then when the RPM get higher it goes fine. ANy suggestions on how to fix this and why it would be doing that?

    "Just got the bike out".......Alberta......

    First ride of the season?

What did you do to winterize it?

Last time carbs cleaned and sync'd?

I drained the gasoline to winterize it...

I have only owned this for a year so as far as I know the last time the carbs were cleaned and sync'd were 1981

Remember, you need three grand on the clock to take off without bogging down. (Don't forget to slip the clutch a little).
