Hello. I'm an idiot. Now that we've established that we can move ahead.

I'm a membero many different forums but none of them use the same *format* or *forum software* thatthis place does, so I'm having trouble with a few things.

    * I have to beat the heck outof my computer keyboard to write anything in this frum. TONS of missed spaces, issed letters etc .. requiring tht Igo back and edit every sinle sentence. I'm a non-educated "head down"typer s after I fnish a sentence/thought Imust go back and edit edit edit to get rid of the missed letters an spaces. This onl hppens to me onthis forum.

    * How do I "mark" a thread so thatI canreview i later, or keep a little gatheringof threads tatinterest me. Inotherfum that's called "subscribng" t a thead. How do I do that here? I canonly seem to subscribe to treads thatI actually start my self.

Fo now, that is the twobig things I'm having issus with. I've purpoely no gone bck to edit my typing hereso youcan see what it is I'm up against. I'mnot a "light handed typer" either, I'm pretty mucha ham fisted brut. And asI said this forum is tehonly place this happens. The other (6? .. 8?) forums Ibelong to don't give me tis trouble.

    Tanks tons. It's probably m!

I have never run into this problem on this forum. It works the same as any other forum I've been on. You also wrote.

I never use the Quick reply at the bottom of the post. I click on the "Post Reply" button that is in the area above the Quick Reply. It's beside the "New Thread" button and print icon.

In the Post Reply area you can select "Notify me when a reply is posted". Its right below the window you type in.
As far as pounding on your key board goes, I think that is a problem on your end. As I have never heard of anyone having the problem you are with the typing output of your key board when posting a message.

Yeah, I've never heard of the typing delays.

You can also click the link at the bottom (in small blue font) that says "Watch this topic for replies" and get an email when threads are updated. That link will change when you are subscribed, so you can unsubscribe.

Sounds like a hardware issue to me.

I too agree that this forum does not have a way to indicate that there is a thread you participated in other than the "watch this topic for replies" which sends an email. That was a nice thing that vBullitin had that this forum does not have.

It's impossible for it to be anything on the site that's doing it. It's your keyboard (hardware, laptop) that's at fault.

If you just want to watch a thread but dont want to post anything click on watch this topic for replies bottom left of the below the quick reply box. If you want to see your posts on the left side of the webpage you will see "user information" click on my account or go up to the main menu and click on "my account" or if you post a message click on profile on your own post it will take you to a screen that will how last forum posts or all forum posts with another click and you can click on any ones profile and see their posts. You jut have to try different things and see where they take you.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have ya.

I'm curious, what browser are you using? Does the typing delay/problems only happen on this forum?

I've seen type delay before (never on this forum) and it turned out to be a browser issue. It didn't like a script of some sort that was running in the background. Can't say if that's your issue, but I'd start with trying a different browser.

Are you using dial-up service? Not too far fetched an idea in Yuma...
I think the problem is either the keyboard or you need to slow down when you are typing...

Probably due to the fact that you beat the keyboard like a stubborn mule. Copy, paste into "Microsoft Word" and click on spell check.
