Well jsut bought a 1971 ish at1 and ct1, and a ts90, the at1 runs liek crazy, these engines didnt have reed valves, well then a guy put a 175 just with reed valves on it and it flys. The oil injection doesnt work on it, So im just running pre mix on it... i was running 50:1, ouch! it should probably be around 30:1 rite? can some one please tell me what it's supposed to be? the two 90's dont run... if i can get them to run ill run them.. if not, i want to take the engine out and throw in a briggs and stratton and make it a mini bike.
can anyone give me some pointers? oh ya the at1 'sthrottle stick like crazy, methinks its a bad slide, ill have to find out

Re: some help with my new yamaha AT1&CT1&ts90-mix ratio's pl

I used to work on these machines professionally back in the day. Moto-crossers used to throw out the oil injection system on the AT-1's and run 50:1 pre-mix using Golden Spectro 2 stroke oil. It will also work just as well on your Suzuki TS-90 if the oil injection system won't work. For transmission oil, use Spectro transmission oil. If the injection system is in fact working, use Spectro 2T. The Suzuki TS-90 is a straight forward, simple 2-stroke with one caveat: It uses what is called a rotary valve induction system. Simply put, the carburetor is offset at the right side end of the crankshaft. A disc rotates (driven directly by the end of the crank) and has a hole in it. The disc keeps fuel mixture from reaching the crankcase until it is time and the hole arrives in front of the carburetor such that the fuel mixture can then flow directly into the crankcase. At just the right time (in degrees of crankshaft rotation) the hole disapperas as the disc rotates and the carburetor is once again blocked from flowing any fuel mixture. The problems that arise with this system are usually due to leaking o-rings and seals. Hope that helps you troubleshoot the machine.
