I can't say that I'm an expert when it comes to the Seca Turbo, but I know I've never seen anything like this. I wish there were some better pictures of the other side of the bike, but maybe you turbo guys can figure out whats going on here. Found on the Diakoube Blog

    Frightening.

It has to be OMG loud; and it's a grenade waiting to explode, running with a wide open intake and exhaust pipes that short.

I wonder if that turbo can grind up a sucked-in sparrow fine enough to get past the valves?

Cool post....but it has a few issues.....it looks like someone retro'ed a turbo to a standard and did it in a way that's really for demonstration only since it sure isn't going to last very long. The vanes on the Yam turbo spin at up to 210,000RPM, yes, you read that correctly! Now imagine tossing in a few grains of sand into it? Yup, ain't gonna spin so fast then.....so what will happen is that the amount of boost will drop as it ingests more junk.

Second, as Fitz pointed out, those exhaust valves are going to burn mighty fast. I think Ghost knows enough about custom engines to comment with more authority but from my limited 4 stroke experience, you need a certain length of exhaust to remove the heat from the cylinders&valves.

I'm making comments but not actually knocking the build as it probably makes fantastic power with the turbo mounted so close to the exhaust ports. I'd think he might want to put a intake filter in place and run the exh at least down to a point below the engine.....then he'd have something!

I know its off topic but does anybody know what the seat is? It is pretty much exactly what I am looking for!

You missed the most important part.

All that excess heat from the exhaust, and turbo sitting right at the #1 cylinder. Reminds me of Chernobyl!

Nice work on the tail section though.

There's no reason to think it's not a real TURBO bike -
    The carbs are Mikuni's, right?
The rims, brakes, and front forks are TURBO

The grooves in the intake horn collect the errant sand and debris :p
I bet the guy runs it with no filter and just doesn't care.

Seats and tail-pieces can be had at flat-tracker sites.

I don't think that anyone's doubting that it's a real bike since it has a tag......and if you look closely, it's a nice build and he did pretty nice and clean work too. It's definitely a lot lighter than stock without the pipes but that open intake is going to capture something causing a premature end to the turbo......heck, I'll bet it flies with it's much lighter weight but I think that most guys would at least put a K&N on the intake.
