Wanted Some sort of speedometer (England)

    I'm in need of a speedo; the one I have under reads by 12 mph which meant that I got a speeding ticket.

    Since I run a rat bike, I do not care if it's not quite the right one. Apparently all Japanese speedos, at least at this age, run on the same ratio. It doesn't even have to be a Yamaha; The one I have doesn't match the tacho because that isn't the right one anyway. If it's not the original type it neds to come with the holding cup. The reset for the trip meter needs to be on the left or on the front. It has to read up to 130 mph as the bike might just indicate that speed (down bullsh1t hill) Cosmetic condition not all that important.

    What bike do you have? some XJ's have mechanical tachometers and others are electronic.

    I am only after a speedo, but the tacho is an electronic one. It was a mechanical one, but I pulled it apart and replaced the internals including the dial with the works from a 350 LC YPVS. (Some adjustment was necessary) This is why it doesn't match the speedo.
