    A quick question, do the leads just unscrew from the coils ? 1981 xj 650

    Ok thanks for the reply I had a feeling they didn't, I think I have sussed out my problem, am having trouble cleaning carbon fouled plugs, just found out the plugs themselves are wrong, non protruding electrodes and colder than recommended, so will try a new set of NGK Bp7es plugs.
