    and the top post in your picture is the stud that the larger hourglass shaped nut screws onto, that can be seen in your ebay links. the nuts often come loose in the box, or will come right off by hand or with a little tug on some small pliers to get them to spin.

    different applications use different top posts, rather than make 2 part numbers and market them seperately, they give you the nut whether you need it or not.

    Check your manual, I think you should be running the BP7ES, not "R." If your bike has the stock spark plug wires, it has resistor caps. You don't need resistor plugs.

    The bike came with BPR8ES when I bought it, it does say BP7ES in the manual but i already ordered BPR7ES from ebay. Is it bad if i have the R plugs in?

    It may run a tad "off," I honestly don't know what it any issues running "R" plugs with resistor caps will cause. I would get the correct plugs in there as soon as possible, though.

    Thanks, Rick, good read, so it would seem that us guys that run without ressistors have got it right for these bikes,
    (other than effecting next doors TV)

    its good that you went back down to a 7 heat range, that was more important than the resistor.
