I have the 1985 Maxim xj700 and was wondering if anyone has had any luck with different types of handlebars. I'm not interested in apehangers, but would like something maybe a bit straighter (Love the look of certain cafe racers, but don't want anything too extreme.)

My fear is all wires/brake lines/everything will need to be lengthened or shortened. Has anyone else switched xj700 bars out?

    Thanks!

try ebay store "sporting for less" like the daytona model is chill
and you shouldn't have to change to much

Jcwhitney and search for European style handlebars. They are the best!!! Not too straight but not curved too much. I love them!
