Speedo question

    G'day all,
    speedo does not read correctly,changed to a new cable,pulled speedo apart,still not reading true. :(
    Question is ;where the cable goes into fork (gear drive) how would one best go about trying the clean the crap out of there???? :?
    that would i think is the only thing left to do to try & get my speedo to read correctly! 8)

    on mine I had to pull the axel and remove the gear drive unit, clutch meter and associated parts and clean them all with some solvent and an air nozzle. then I packed some high temp grease back into the gear drive unit and put it all back together. while it is apart make sure both the tabs on the clutch meter are are in tact or the gear drive unit will only display that you are going half as fast as you really are.
