Speedo/Tach gasket replacement

    When I took my speedo apart to fix the face screw, It was pretty obvious that my gasket was shot. (pic 1)

    I found some leftover 3M "Scotch 130C Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape" that we had used when we spliced the house mains. This stuff is about 5x thick as regular electrical tape, and it bonds to itself.

    I found that 3 wraps was the perfect thickness to mount the speedo back in the can with no gaps. Since the splicing tape needs some protection, one wrap of electrical tape and I was set. (pic 2)

    The last item to complete the seal was a 3.5" x 1/8" o-ring from the hardware store. (pic 3)

    I actually think it looks better than stock now. :)
