    I realize that there are quite a few other topics about this. But i just got my 82 xj55o seca a couple months ago and its my first bike. so terminology wise. im green. so bear with me.

    i tried taking off the cable from the wheel, but when i unscrew the cable, the center part (i know im a noob) doesnt come out of the wheel.

    Please help me and i will try my best to expain my situation. I love the bike and want it to work properly

    well this was a wasted post. I finally got the cable off to find that the center had rusted and snapped.....easy fix....order a new cable.
